These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of The Guide Co online store and to any guide you buy from us. By using this store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the store. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Guide Co, and "you" means the person using the store or buying a guide.

1. Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. You agree to give accurate information at checkout and to keep your account details safe.

2. What our guides are, and what they are not

Our guides are digital PDF files with general information and practical checklists. They are for education only. They are not medical, mental health, legal, financial, tax or veterinary advice, and they don't create a professional relationship between you and us. Always speak to a qualified professional about your own situation. If you or someone else is in danger or in crisis, call 911, or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US).

We work hard to keep every guide accurate and up to date, but laws, programs, phone numbers and websites change. We can't promise that a guide is free of errors or that it suits your circumstances, and we don't guarantee any particular result from using it.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time before you order. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's secure checkout. If a price is clearly wrong because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

4. Delivery

Guides are delivered digitally. After your payment is confirmed, you can download your guide from the order confirmation page, and we also email you a download link. Please check your spam folder if you don't see the email, and contact us if you can't find it.

5. Your license to use a guide

When you buy a guide, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download it, read it on your own devices, and print copies for use in your own household. The guide remains our property, and all copyright and other rights stay with The Guide Co.

You may not resell, share, publish, upload, give away, or distribute a guide or any part of it, including on websites, social media, file-sharing services or AI training datasets, or use it for commercial purposes, without our written permission. If you break these rules, we may end your license.

6. Refunds

Because our guides are digital downloads, refunds are handled under our Refund policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Third-party resources

Our guides and store may mention or link to outside organizations, phone lines and websites. We include them to help you, but we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, services or availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Guide Co is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the store or a guide, and our total liability for any claim relating to a guide is limited to the amount you paid for that guide. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version shown on this page when you place an order applies to that order.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. This doesn't remove any protections you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live.
